SoU: Tomb of Kel-Garas (Spoiler)

Post by Paranitis »

There is a part of the map that shows on the walkthrough labeled as number 2. It is right before a hallway that has fireballs constantly thrown into a corridor. At number 2 it mentions a secret door and way to go around this bad hallway, but I can't detect it. I am using Deekin as a hireling and if I try to run through the fireball area he dies, so I won't be able to get him back since he is laying on the ground in the middle of the place.

I don't want to lose Deekin, and there is no way for me to detect the secret door, is there possibly a way to get through with me AND my hireling safely? What's the deal with the levers down this hallway also? I have set Deekin to hold-ground so I can explore, but no matter what I do with the levers, nothing changes.

Tell Deekin to hold ground and then run past the fireballs. Once you made it through, the trap will deactivate, and Deekin can follow safely.

The floor levers should delay the launching of fireballs by 1 sec. per use up to 10sec. after which it resets to 0.

But I normally do as Blackhand suggests, so I don't know how effective it is.

By the way - I've added a spoiler tag to the thread title.

Yeah, mindless Dungeon Crawling at its best. I mean, who would create a trap and place levers in front of it, which help to get thrugh it unscathed? The secret door at least serves a purpose for those who know it and are supposed to bypass the trap, but something that obvious just doesn't make any sense. ;)

It is a general problems with (recent) cRPGs that are being "dumbed down", but that is a different topic.
