Diamonds
Only the black diamond is usable for the god quest. You can visit the university in Tarant to see the information about the god quest. View the drawing on the wall and get a book to read. Use the information to draw a picture of the quests and items need to get the blessings. The exact order is not clear so some more testing is need to get it correct. If you reach the final blessing in Vendigroth you will reworded with an additional 100 points of both heath and mana. Plus other character attributes are finallized.
I usually collect items for the quest enroute in solving other quests. The bone knife or any bone weapon is used for part of the god quest but is the hardest to find. Sometime I can get it while roaming East of Tarant figthting ogres. Only the ogres may have a bone weapon. If I get a bone weapon early I can complete all blessings except Vendigroth before going to Caladon. But if I don't find it East of Tarant the only other option is to solve the Wytech Muirder and when you go to fight the monster each sewer fly has a bone knife.
You can give gift to the blessing alter at any time. But in the wrong order you'll find the previous blessing crossed out. You must redo the previous blessing and determin the correct alter to use to continue correctly. The map in the Tarant University expains this.
To get you started the first blessing is in Falcons Ache. The blessing item is a statue found an outside shop near the docks in Ashbury and in one shop in Qintarra. The next blessing can be found by performing a side quest from a teacher in Qintarra. If you have a drawing circle of gods and the book then the future blessing quest should be obvious.
Update:
Ordinary diamnds and all other items except for whats needed for the Blessing quest can be sold. The outlying shop usually give the best price.
End Update.
If you need more help let me know and I'll list the sites and gifts next time.
