BG1TuTu

Post by trance »

I'm considering taking another character all the way through BG1 and BG2. My question is this; should I use TuTu?

I understand what the concept of the mod is, but just how much does it change the game? Does it freshen things up, or do the changes not mesh well with the game? Is it still buggy? What are some pros and cons about it?

Thanks in advance for the help.

If your unexperienced with BG1 i recommand not installing TuTu, but playing the game like it was designed.

If you fiished BG1 before you could install it.
But personally i wouldnt use Tutu.
You could use it for the 800x600 settings but thats it.
Kit's are just to powerfull in BG1 (or underpowered in the monk's case). Just like dualwielding.
I do not have the touch, nor do I have the power.

I had a brief experiance with Tutu in it's early days. It's probably 99.9% bug free now. I wouldn't worry about bugs or glitches or anything of that sort :) (check the known issues tho ;) ).

If it's your first time playing through BG1 then I too would recommend playing it using the original engine... aside from the temptations listed by Stilgar, it's good to feel the original BG1 experiance ;) .

But, when I next play through BG1 it will probably be with tutu... nicer/more efficient interface, higher resolution, and the numerous graphical improvements in Bg2.

It does 'freshen up' BG1 quite well, and makes it seem less archaic, so if you're playing through it again, I'd go for it :) .
