Any decent way to gain money towards the end of the game?
I'm on Dungeon level 2 of the temple,and i've been trying to create some nice magical items for my characters,and to enchant their weapons further,but since all of that costs money it seems i'm running a bit short.. I have 2,190 platinum at the moment (not sure how that translates into Gold..21,000 maybe?) and most of these items and enchantments cost around 8000 gold to create.. So i would run out rather quickly. So does anyone know of any way to gain more gold around here? or is there some quest or something later in the temple that i can get some from? And note: I'm not above murdering NPC's to get their stuff to sell ::laughs maniacally::
This is how I make an unbelievable amount of money...
1. Rest over and over again in one of the rooms on level three ie. one once populated with giants - a lot of ogres, giants and ettins wonder that level. Keep killing them, they're great to loot for money... and the xp which comes in use for step 2.
2. If your xp is high (mainly from step 1) and you've the c08 patches and your appraise is high enough you can hang at the blacksmiths just keep buying masterworks weapons (greatswords are good) enchant them and sell them back for more money ie.) a +3 keen holy flaming mighty cleaving shocking burst greatsword will get you around 198,000 gold. As your xp goes down go do step 1 again.
