noob needs help :/

I bought IWD2 last week but only got around to installing it and playing it today. I'm happy with it so far but I'm really stuck now.

I'm in the fort outside of town and I did the fetch wood, etc etc missions and then I helped defend the fort from goblins. 3 of my chars died :/

I was then told to go back to town but since the battle ended I can't find that boy that takes you places.

I've looked all around the fort and even tried to go outside it and use the map but it wouldn't let me select anywhere else.

please help.. how do I get to town?

well.. you do know where the house is where you get paid.. from that house go down.. and move your mouse.. you should see how your mouse icon changes.. and the click... that boy is near the gate...(or atleast when you have talked with.. targos mayer...

Swift Thomas is where you left him! Since you went to the Goblin Fortress, I suppose you left the town through the Palisade (upper part), therefore he must be near the house where the commander is (the guy who pays you). But you can go around town without him as well...

brynn.. after defeating goblin attack then that boy will be near palisade gate...

town gate is near that commanders house.. palisade gate is the one wich you can leave targos

OK, I meant the boss's palce (shoot, I forgot his name!), where Nolan the healer is standing in the corner. Near the exit to the town. I think he's there.

I don't know what the big deal is here, its simple:

Before the attack you can find swift thomas in front of the barracks where the commander of the guard (shaford crale) is stationed.

After the battle you can find him at the destoyed gate of the palisade, next to some standerd soldiers.

If for some reason he is not there, its a bug, dowload a patch or let the party walk.

His name is Shawford Crale. Thomas is there before the goblins attack.
