I got the french voice.bif :D
And you should check at torment.warparadise.com, because they just upladed the corrected version of the .tlk files. EDIT : Actually, it wasn't uploaded, yet. It should be soon as DarkXan as finished working on them.

I have tested voice.bif, and was able to hear the french version by replacing the english voice.bif with the french one. I didn't need to extract the wavs in the override folder. But, I tried it also, and was able to extract the wavs/acm using the english chitin.key. I got no problem, and it works.

So, it's up to you. I can send you the .bif, or the wavs in a zip file. You can also try voice.bif, and if it doesn't work, you'll extract the wavs/acm using winbiff or I'll send them to you.

There's this nice website we can use to send the file(s) : http://www.yousendit.com
Simpler than ftp or icq

It's when you want ;)
Just as I said before, what format do you prefer?
The .bif file or the zipped acms/wavs?

got it

Here my official warm thanks to Ismaul for sending me the French WAVs with the voices of NPCs. :) THANK YOU!

So, as for me, now I'm just after the German and Swedish sound (and text, but that's not a big problem, is it?) version. Any of you got it, please contact me!

Of course I strongly encourage any of you to include your desires in this post, if they concern the same thing, it was not supposed to be a post only for me to get something :) . Myself, I've now got the English, French and Polish versions to share :D

And yet another version.

Hi Gore Bishop

I have been looking for the english version for quite some time now. I have the german version of the game and I don't like it too much really. Also I'd like to experience "the original" for once.

I'd be willing to give you the german files and get the english ones from you. Tell me: about what download size are we speaking here? And how do we best do it?

Where is that override folder located? Do I just have to copy all wav-files in there?

Hear ya soon.

Do you mean, where can you acquire files that translate your game into English? What version do you currently have?

German PS: T - that would be fun :D

And english too, gewiss. :P . Hi, Da Doom. I've got both english sound and text files. The size? I dont remember exactly, 2-3 MBs (text) and over 55 MBs (sound - it's a little larger when you download wavs, not the voice.bif file).
Waiting for your reply, I guess the exchange would be profitable for both of us.

Regards,
Gore Bishop

P.S. Hah, I'm enormously happy the thread can help someone other than me. ;)

P.S. 2: Hubuzu, english patch is available at (http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/Torment/english.zip ) - I guess this is the correct file, made by Platter, of course ;) . If the link doesn't work, try searching some other locations, the patch isn't too hard to find. (btw, how come that a Finn plays PS:T in polish? :P )

Sheehs this makes quite some time I haven't visited this forum anymore. I have tried to contact Gore Bishop via ICQ to get the english sound files, sadly without success.

Does anyone have any news as far as the sound conversion is concerned? Where to get the necessary files or how to best do it?

Cheers

Need english voice files

Hey umm, I just got Planescape: Torment a while back and I've gotten the text to english, but i need to convert the voices from Polish to English. For those who may ask, I'm using the 2 CD version which evidently has some significance when modding :o Please inform me ASAP on how to convert the voices to english, many thanks :)

Had the same problem a couple of years ago, Platter helped me out with his voicepack. Unfortunately, I can't seem to locate it on the Internet now :(
