Did you follow a link from another gaming site? If so, which one?

Did a friend tell you about Game Banshee?

Did a friend tell you about SYM?

Did you conduct a search for information on a particular game?
1) No...unless Google counts as a gaming site.
2) Friend? What is this "friend" you speak of? Is it tasty?
3) See above
4) Baldur's Gate 2...I actually read threads in SYM before any of the gaming forums...must've been fate

MAN! How many of us came here because of Baldur's Gate II? I got this website, (like everyone else, apparently), by looking up help for SoA on Google about 2 years ago. Unfortunately, it took me forever to finally bother to actually sign up as a member...all that wasted time! :(

A big hand to Buck Satan for making this sight! Man, he's good!
I sincerely wish we could re-consider this plan from a perspective that involved pants.

Most likely 80%+ if I should make a calculated guess.
Although I seem to remember that it was Baldurs Gate 1 that brought me here ....

I was playing BG2 for the first time and wanted to make my gaming scream, so I found GB. :D

That was the first time around though, about a year before I registered this account. If I recall, my first account was lost because of the actions of a certain Weasel...I think he crashed the boards. :p

I ended up in SYM via the Rolling Thunder thread. Oh, the humanity!
Like I can remember so far back that I can remember why I came to GameBanshee...

Must have been in connection with BG1 or BG2 walkthrough I think (can't remember for sure which). Likely finding it via some obscure search engine.
I have to agree with Xan here, I don't remember exactly how I found Gamebanshee but I know it was after I had finished BG1 or BG2 - BG2 I think - and I was looking for a walkthrough in order to see if I had missed something.

Then after a while I found SYM because somebody told me in existed. I hadn't looked at any other forums than the BG-forums before that.

However, the intriguing question is not why we came here but why we stay...

Well, when I was playing BG1, I went to some other website, but when I started BG2, a friend said GB was the place for BG2 help. So I came here. And then over to the Harem Tent in SYM when the Anomen thread in the BG2 forum turned slightly spammy. :D

DEN!!!

I don't know you, that's true, but let me say HAPPY BIRTHDAY :) Cheer up, popularity depends on your nr of posts in the SYM section :D

Why don't you come and join us at the Heathen Citadel, e.g.? Feel free to add your opinions to any thread, sooner or later you'll figure out what's going on and we'll get to know you and you'll be just as popular as anybody else (well, except for Buck, maybe. He's the god here. :p )

2 years, maybe more ago I did a yahoo search for "Pool of Radiance Walkthrough" and I ended up on this site..then I heard that Gamebanshee was going to start charging membership fees so I copied every single map/walkthrough of the Pool of Radiance game and printed every map out and the info going with it.

I still have the thick stack of papers in my dresser too :)

Blame it on BG. Found Gamebanshee looking for a BG walkthrough or something BG related, and then migrated to the forums, and eventually scrolled down all the way to SYM. I think that's a good 1/3 to 1/2 of the people who've discovered Gamebanshee looking for info on BG or BG II. I guess that's my story. NEXT.
