Hi,
I'm having a great time with NWN but have encountered a game breaking problem and was wondering if anyone can help me. I've got NWN + 2 expn packs installed and patched to 1.62.
I've just finished killing Klauth (a very satisfying fight indeed) and have discovered that I can't seem to return to Beorunna's Well.
I can use the stone of recall to return to the temple in Beorunna's Well, but when I click on the door to exit nothing happens.
Thought that the door might be broke so did the run back through the Spine of the World etc etc to Moodwood to discover the same problem.
Obviously I can't proceed until I can get back there. Any hints?
SPOILER: Help - can't get back to Beorunna's Well
Did this problem come suddenly, or has the entire chapter been problematic?
I would recommend trying to start up the chapter again and see if the problem persists.
If it does - then I'd reinstall the game.
Other then this - I'm at a loss, I've never heard of anybody "loosing" an entier area.

That seems very very strange. Only thing I can think of to do, apart from starting the entire chapter again, is to give yourself 1500xp and 4500 gold (what Aarin would give you), save your character, unlock the other chapters, and start Chapter 4 with that character. You've obviously spoken to Haedraline, and Aarin doesn't have anything important to say (as usual).
Chapter 3 isn't a particularly long chapter (half as long as 2 nearly, and shorter than 1 also), but its still a pain in the arse to be doing everything the same just to get through it - enough to make you stop playing.
To unlock all the chapters: (highlight, in case people don't want to see it)
Open up your "nwnplayer.ini" in your NWN directory, and find a line that says "CODEWORD=". Simply add "hacktastic" to this so it reads "CODEWORD=hacktastic", save, and you should be able to start at Chapter 4.

Strange
Hi,
Thanks for the thoughts. I always knew I was special!
The problem started halfway through the chapter. Everything was OK and then suddenly, bam - couldn't get into the town.
This is actually only the second word of power that I've got. Is the reward the same for each one?
At the moment the cheat option is looking like the only way of moving onward, even though I'd prefer not to have to do it!

No, you normally get 2500gp for words, but always 1500xp I think. Aarin "empties his coffers" once you find the final word, although by that time 4500 is just a bit of pocket money!
I assumed that Klauth was the final enemy (and word) you faced in that chapter

Yeah I very much doubt it was bothered by the order of things - I nearly missed the "second" word before going onto Klauth's. Not always easy to spot when you're busy with other things!
In fact, I thought the spine of the world was the only sensible place to look at first!! But I guess level 11/12 rangers and big dragons don't mix....
