i was in exp2....second chapter, shaori's fell docks....i quick saved my game and went to eat dinner...when i tried to load the game n' it just freezed...looks like my save is broken....oh well...dis game is been on my harddrive for almost half a year now....i probably going to go through icewind dale 2 again...
Ps: What r some other 3rd editon d&d rpg out there? the one i noe r NVM, IWD2 n' Temple of elemental evil...is bg2 using 3rd edtion rule?
Oh well....game froze...Give up on da game...
BG(1/2) and IWD(1/2) use 2.0 rules.
PoR and NWN(and exps) use 3.0 rules.
If anything you should just try one more time to load the game instead of giving up after it freezing once. It did this to me a few times and it still works..just the game is buggy in some areas (such as the saving/loading screens).

actually, iwd2 uses 3rd edtion rule...look at how the ac r presented...in 2nd edtion, the lower the better, in 3rd,the higher the better...
and i did try to load many times...it just doesn't work...i even reinstalled the game....oh well....nvn was a really great game, too bad things turn out dis way...

Most of the rest of the 3E games in the market have either mixed reviews or horrible reviews. Ruins of Myth Drannor comes to mind. Many like the combat system of ToEE, but I found the lack of a proper storyline boring; furthermore some equipment and joinable NPCs disrupted the flow and balance of the game.
Well, KOTOR is somewhat 3E, and I think uses an official Star Wars setting (correct me if I'm wrong). I enjoyed it, because gameplay was great and it had a somewhat decent plot. However it was a little too short (I finished in 36 hours).
One thing that you really miss out on are the community modules created for NWN. Some modules are without doubt world-class, up there with the likes of BG2 and PS:T... of course, the length and effort put into BG2 and PS:T are far more than the modules; the modules are free in the first place.
