looting dead bodies???

im new to the game. after i make a kill i cant seem to search the bodies. i left click it and nothin. says bodies are medium encumbered so i know they got something. anyone help me??

I've recently started as well and I had the same problem too at first. Assuming it's not a technical fault, robbing the dead can be a little fiddly you just have to move the mouse around over the body until it's outlined in blue. When you get the outline click and it should get you in. Sometime, if they're up against a wall when they died it's tricky go get anything. When that happens try resting somewhere else and when you come back the body has gone but a little pile of treasure will be left in its place.

I find holding tab (to highlight doors, items, bodies) works very well for things that are hard to pickup.

I am having the same problem and the only resolution that I have found is to leave and rest for a few days until the bodies rot away leaving the loot. I ran through the Tutorial again to see if I was messing anything up but everything worked fine there. I am at a complete loss.

I have the best solution to this problem. I have never been able to loot corpses without doing this. You should initiate combat (press C) and then loot each body individually. You should see the hand over the corpse in combat mode.
