help with paladins

I am new to computer D&D and I cant figure out what key to use to get my paladin to lay on hands or how to cast the spells the red cloak item gives you.
I know this is kind of a dumb question but if someone could help I would kiss their feet this is driving me crazy. karen

to use lay on hands (which is a special character skill) you must first press the "star" icon in the lower right corner of your screen, the you should find it there.

to cast magics from items, you must press the "backpack" icon (down by the other icons) and select the items from there.

My general advice is to go around the starting scenes several times in order to get used to handling your characters, weapons and stuff before you actually start palying. This way you will realise what you need earlier, and won't regret later on that you've missed sg or allocated some skill point where you shouldn't have...
