Suggestions on reforming party

Hi guys,

I have a question, my party now (2,5 mil XP, chap 5 underdark) excists of:

Me (kensai/mage)
Aerie
Minsc
Valygar
Jaheira
Imoen

My char is quite tankish, just as jaheira and minsc with AC -11 atm, valygar goes missile.

My problem is, Imoen = 1,25 mil xp and she just sux, no offence for me sister, but she is just rubbish, i have ennough spellcasting power and i dont like her mage abilities (atm) at all. I want to take in Solofein, but i need to get rid of someone, as imoen being my only thief, who else could i take for her (exept for jan). Yoshimo hasn't betrayed me with irenicus but taking him in would mean a huge difference in XP i guess.

Can i play WITHOUT a thief, and find traps/knock and disarm with the rest of the party (btw when find traps is cast, how do u disarm them? never used it).

ANy suggestions?

You couldn't take Yoshimo in even if you wanted, he'll die as soon as you enter the Copper Coronet.

Ouch Numinor, nice way to spoil the guy!

Your only options for thief are as follows:

1) Jan Jansen. He'll be a better thief than Imoen, but he's a mage too, and Imoen is enough of a Thief and a better Mage than Jan will be (And I'm of the opinion that Imoen is a good enough Thief, when equipped properly, to last the entire game).

2)Some NPC mods out there. There have got to be some thief mods out there.

3) Create your own NPC and add him in.

4) (my best suggestion): Add Anomen to the party and drop Aerie. Anomen will be a better Cleric that Aerie, and Imoen's Mage level will surpass Aeire's (eventually).

it should surpass aerie's now.

the reason imoen's exp is so low is that you gained too much exp without her in chapter 2.

you could kick everyone out except for you, imoen and your love interest, have them all stay where they are and have imi scribe a bunch of scrolls. that will give he a boost.

ACtually xp rates in me party is like this atm:

Me=3 mil +
Minsc= 2,75 mil
Valygar= 2,7 mil
Jaheira=2,75 mil
Aere= 2,65 mil
Imoen= 1,7 mil

THink i'll do this:

Kensai/Mage (me char) as tank
FIghter/Mage Solaufein (semi-tank, needs much boosting)
Ranger/Berserker Minsc tank or missile (long bow)
Jaheira (semi-tank, low hp, just as solau, high AC tho)
Aerie cleric(offencive)+ defensive spellcaster (and summoning)
Imoen = thief (ahum) and ill see what i can with her being a mage

Guess im gonna buy like 1000 scrolls, let her drink potion of genius and see what comes out

One option is to download ShadowKeeper and use that to bring Imoen's XP in line with everyone else ...

Clua in some XP for her instead of SK, it is a healthy alternative to SK...

Problem is that adding her with XP would mean an imbalanced xp ammount as a total of the party. Guess i Shuld remove XP from the rest of the party and count all the XP togehter and add it to imoen in shad keeper (max XP amount per level, so i level manually with wizard spells etc.

Ensaro dai, the Clua command for XP modifying adds to only one character. It sounds like you're worrying that it will add to all. It doesn't. I've Clua'd her up before myself (although this time I'm multi-classed, so her Mage level is on par with mine, so I'm not bothering). CLUAConsole:SetCurrentXP(" **** ") is the syntax. Just Highlight Immy (or make her the leader, I can't remember which, so I just do both) and set her to 2500000. For more Clua info, goto http://gamebanshee.com/forums/showthrea ... post219984

Sorry, just one more thing.

You WILL have to LVL her up after setting XP... She'll go up like four lvls with one click. And, if you want to add to her spell selection, clua in some scrolls. (Clua in at least two of each, she has a crappy intell and fails half the itime.)

No what i mean -> giving Immy free shot XP would mean that im getting XP outa nowhere, i didint kiill anything for or finsihed a quest of some sort.... thats what i mean with an unbalanced party. If I'd remove 80,000 XP per char (5x8=40) would mean i could add 400,000 XP to imoen, thats what i mean

well if you're willing to do that that's fair enough. otherwise, immy stays as she is.
