Cant get past Level 16!?!?!? HELP

so far im at the camp in icewindale 2 where the winter wolves keep spawning and ive noticed that every monster i kill wherever i go, my experience doesnt go up anymore it stays at

Current experience 135794

Experience till level 136000

and it hasnt been going up at all.. can anyone help me please

In 3D&D rules.. the more XP you have the less you will gain..(from monsters)

i see so if i beefed up the difficulty i should expect xp but if i dont? cause i started killing some priests and what not and got nothing

Do you get XP for completed quests?

Your level may be too high to expect XP from killing wolves and priests. On what level did you start the game?

and what is your party? if you have room add level one char.. (well for role playing aspect you found and save your new party member..)

Good idea! Try creating a new character and see if you gain XP for killing lesser monsters.

yeah, well first it wasnt for quests i did, like no xp would show up, but yeah i guess stuff was to low.. although you would think a party of about 20 priests and warriors would give you at least 1 xp but i guess not sorry if i wasted any of your guys's time.
