Just how bad are Wizard Slayers?

Post by Mr. Sprinkles »

I think I can live with their penalties...but I got to wondering: does the game consider the Ring of Gaxx a magical item (I ask because it isn't like ROP where you can use it while wearing magical armor)? Also, are they allowed to use healing potions? :o
I saved Suldanesellar from destruction, and all I got was this stupid amulet.

They can't use potions, don't know about Kangaxx's ring though...

I heard there was a patch that lets them use healing potions...

I don't think you can use the Ring of Gaxx either, it's not armor nor a weapon.

I'm not sure, but I also heard that the thing with the potions will change in ToB.

They better fix that in the next one. I have to be surrounded by healers 24/7!

WS cannot use rings (any magical rings) and potions. What you can do is to use the rod of resurrection and the restoration scrolls. Both will completely heal you, but the 2nd scroll results in fatigue. Actually, after a while you just do not get hurt, and the pearly white ioun stone and dragon sword usually restore enough hit points to survive. Oh, and don't forget temples :)

Edit: Forgot to mention the sword of chaos - hunting shadows in Temple Ruins was so muchy fun! and some hit point, too :)
