I'm trying to solo a human beserker. Any thoughts on this? What weapons should I use and why. And what's the difference/advantages of using a single class beserker over a barbarian? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

The barbarian's rage is probably a little better than the berzerkers because they don't lose hitpoints and don't get fatigued at the end. But you are right, not being able to go past specialization in weapons sucks. I used a barb in a 6-person party, and I loved him. But the berzerker is better for soloing. I would put proficiencies in Halberd's or 2H swords because they are the best weapons in the game. If you want to use a shield, then go with katanas (and use celestial fury) or possibly longswords (equalizer). The boots of speed are also a necessity for soloing as is the ring of regeneration and later on the ring of gaxx
IMO the berserker is way better than the barbarian. I think that you just can't beat the raw power Of a berserker. Add to that the fact that they are immune to imprisonment and other very annoying mind spells like hold and charm which screw you in solo is icing on the cake. When I played with a solo berserker I destroyed everything. In the final Battle I killed the slayer before getting past half of my hps. There are a couple of cool things about the barbarian but I just don't think he matches up to the berserker. About weapons, I reccomend dual weilding celestial fury and crom frauer (sp)
