Absorb Health Enchantment Duration Question

Post by Princepapa »

I've done some searches and haven't found what I'm looking for, so I'm going to go ahead and ask.
I would like to enchant my steel katana with absorb health, but the description for absorb health says that the target loses the health (and you gain it) for the duration of the spell and then it switches back. I wasn't really able to test this to see if it works that way on an enchanted weapon. I would imagine it does, but I want to make sure. If it does, then the duration would need to be more than 1 second right? If the health only swaps for 1 second than for all intents and purposes it doesn't swap. I hope that made sense, I'm kind of tired. <grumbles> stupid game keeping me up late...
Does anyone have any experience with this and can help me out?

I don't think Absord gives it back. I think you get to keep it forever.

This is the description of Absorb in the game manual.

"Temporarily transfers a portion of the target's attribute,Health, Magicka, Fatigue, or skill to the the caster. A caster's stats can exceed their maximum for the duration. When the effect ends, attributes for the caster and the target return to original values. Changes to Health, Magicka, and Fatigue are permanent."

Seems pretty clear to me.

Thanks a lot. That last line is left out of the in-game description.
