no
no way. It feels like this game was made buy noobs. The end was terrible and some of it doesn't make sense. For example Lady Grey and her murdered sister has nothing to do with the game but should be part a main quest. The unfeeling mother & sister along with the inarticulate joke of a hero makes this game bad. The clocks and resting are no good either. The money is bad. The shields and armour are bad with no options. I give it a 2 out of 10. No dragons and jump and no true 1st perspective bring this game to the ground.

I enjoyed the game even if it was a little short you still can get 40 hours out of it if you go back and play again, but I know it's hard to make games and people often run out of storyline ideas.
There aren't many rpgs out there with ability to jump(think of Star wars Kotor or some japanese rpg like Final fantasy or star ocean) and a dragon would own you if you fought it, but I find it sad how a game not having dragons is a reason to dislike it when it gave no indication of promising dragons.
I think it is very first person for an RPG. Maybe not as first person as an adventure or action game though.

I kill two dwarves in the morning, I kill two dwarves at night. I kill two dwarves in the afternoon, and then I feel alright. I kill two dwarves in time of peace and two in time of war. I kill two dwarves before I kill two dwarves, and then I kill two more.
I may be bad, but I feel good.

I liked the linear development but that was all tht the game could offer, I think The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind was much better, I have been playing this game for 2-3 years and only recently finished about half of all the possible things someone could do, I have exploited the game oo much for me so it's no fun, which is why whe I get The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, I am not going to use the internet or any kind of help in the game, thus making the game more challenging and make it last longer

The best RPG ever? No. A good RPG? It's decent. A lot of promise, but never quite lived up to it? Absolutely.
There were so many things in this game that could have been really, really good, but just seemed kind of hallow to me. Your appearance changing as you went either evil or good was really cool, the scars were neat (though annoying if you got a lot really early on), the options with your appearance were terrific, and the combat system was amazing. But in the end, the game was too easy and too short, the plot was kind of just ho-hum, getting married was pointless, and being good or evil came down to whether or not you stole and beat up villagers or killed bandits and paid for your purchases. I got to Jack of Blades and took him apart on my first try without even getting hit and then said, 'That was it? He's not coming back bigger and stronger?' Hell, Maze was tougher than that guy. Maybe I just had high expectations and couldn't help but be disappointed, but I thought this game could have been so much more than it ended up being.

I guess how you rate the game depends on personal preference.
I thought it was really great, but that's because I purposely didn't read up on it and avoided the hype. I thought the combat system was amazing, and I loved it even more because it was relatively easy to kill the baddies.
I hate games that make you play it a hundred times over before killing the bad guy. (Blinx and Sonic Heroes, for instance, were great until a certain point that I still can't get past - so now they just sit on my shelf and have become rubbish games in my opinion. What a waste of money!)
Anyway, I think Fable is the best game I've ever played, just a pity it was so short.

Heck yes!
I have to say yes, I love the game, I've spent about 38 hours, 26 of which I've wandered thru the land just finding new little things, I finished the game in 12 hours and it is the 1st game I finish in years... the prince didn't do it, ninja gaiden was good but naw and I really dislike the scrolls.. I mean I really really do not like the graphics but hey we all got our own opinion right!! KOTOR and Jedi Academy I haven't sunk into as I'm not much of a SW fan but they seem pretty kool too.
This game has opened the door for the new generation of RPGs and it's the 1st of its kind.... so yeah it was short and all but if you see it as the beta for many more to come it is outstanding... my hope is that they'll make the sequel with many more challenges now that'd be awesome... right now the only regret for it that I have is that I can't get the Murren Greathammer cuz I can't go back to the guild but I'll get it the next time I play it from scratch... I've bought 90% of Knothole and about 70% of Oakvale and I'm still not done with my shopping I think it is a great way to just spend some easy time walking around killing ppl and just having fun!
In my book this game gets a 10/10!!!

I thought it was decent, but didn't live up to the hype. When I got Sudeki a few months before Fable, I was expecting more from it. When I got Fable, I was expecting a lot more, but I only found a souped up version of Sudeki with a lot of extra features. It was fun, but I initially beat it in about 12 hours, and I got bored of my second game after not that long. The weapon customization was about the same as Sudeki's, and Sudeki's obviously wasn't that great. No armor customization, which was a big disappointment. When I first read about Fable a year and a half before it was released, I was expecting so much more. The Xbox page talked about shaping your character from when you were a child, and it had screenshots of kids in classrooms. I was expecting something more like Morrowind rather than it being so disappointingly not open-ended. The first goal in making console games should be length and replayability, and Fable doesn't have much of either. Unlike PC games, there will be no patches, no mods, and (I can't remember if it does) if it utilizes the content download, you'll be lucky to get a single thing in a time span of a year. It was decent, but not something I'll probably go back to playing for another year or so. Morrowind, KOTOR, and KOTOR II definitely rank above it on my list, and I think calling it the "best RPG ever" is pretty ridiculous. Of course, that comes down to what style of RPG you prefer, but whatever.
Morrowind has got Fables number, but it is in the top 3!
There isn't much competition on the Xbox. Significantly, it hasn't been ported to the PC.

well.....
well it's ok i give it a 7/10 the graphics where good but the story line was too short i would have liked it longer i finished it in 20 hours and in 1 sitting so the needs 2 be longer as well as have a more detailed story line the story line it's self was ok but it needed to be more in depth so it's pretty said about that i thought fable would have a better storyline and it's way 2 easy to buff your guy in full power quit quickly
