This is pretty cool:

If you start TOB with a save-game from the underdark, you still keep the Drow appearance.

When I first started... all my drow equimpent was also with me... but, alas it met the sun.

silly drow, why would u want to be drow. if u really wanted to look like drow be an elf and alter the look of ur character. silly little man.
