There are SEVERAL doors in chapter 1 that I can't open. have completed all the sub quests and such in chapter 1 that I know of and am about to go give the last of the 4 elements for the cure. I know that is going to whisk me away to some place else but I want to wrap up everything I can in Neverwinter.
In the grave yard, there is a tomb I can't open. Had a chest in front of it with this cryptic note.
In the rich district, there is a book shelf I can go behind to this sewer place. There is a door down there that won't open.
There is a door I can't remember where that asks me something about being a serpent or something but what is the item it needs to get in.
Is there something in later chapters I need to get to these places? NPCs i need to talk to? Do i get to come back to Neverwinter later to wrap these up?

Spoiler Request Big Time: Doors I can't open
Those are all part of the Haleuth quest. You get it from the head church guy in the temple of Tyr. Dont' remember his name right now. he is in the SW room of the temple, I think. At least if the exit is north then it is SW. I think you have to be a cleric or paladin or monk to get it or use persuade. As far as the items, I am not sure what they are as my fighter did not do that quest.

the unopenable tombs are the "Lord Never's Tomb" quest which is the cleric quest - as stated above you get this quest from Oleff the head priest of Tyr who is in a room off of the big room you teleport into when you use the recall stone. The quest is good for experience, reputation and gold - 600 or 800 I think total, and you get a greataxe +1 as well. There are 4 tombs, one in each district, but the one in peninsula is already open. Each of the other three has a chest outside the door with a ripped note with a riddle on it. There are some other unopenable doors - they are the wizard lab quest (wizard/sorceror test) and you get that through the mage guild.
The serpent door is different: there are two ways to get into the dungeon that leads to the great graveyard - through the warehouse basement and through the "mysterious house" with the serpent door. You have to get a pass from a guy in a nearby barricaded house to go through the serpent door, he will talk about his missing brother. It is worth clearing out the mysterious house even if you already went through the warehouse basement to the great graveyard, there is some more experience there.

May you walk on warrrrm sannd....
Thanks for the input guys. I have started the quest but can't find the door in the docks district with the chest outside. I searched the sewers and aquaducts pretty good and didn't turn up the door. I have narrowed it down to the door that needs the sword but have not found it or the riddled note. Any idea?

the docks district one doesn't have a chest, it is already opened - it is near the store and the temporary militia office with the priest across the street. There is a book in a chest inside which gives rough locations for the other 3 tombs, can't remember which one uses which item though.

you are mistaken, this is the penninsula district that you're thinking of, the one w/ the chest w/ the book, arrow, sword, and sheild.
To open the tomb in the cemetary, you need to place the sheild in the chest next to it.
i'm having probs with the one that the book says is in the aquaducts though. Could anyone share some enlightenment?
-thanks

Anooo... judging from the dates, this thread is more than 2 years old?!
...FORUM NECROMANCY !!!
Anyway, the entrance to the docks tomb is in the sewers. Go through the silver sails trading company to get down below - and you will find the door at the north end of the room where the sewer ferryman awaits you. (do -not- take the ferry, it's in the same room as where the ferry starts)
