What items can go from BG1 to BG2:SoA?
I always tought that no items could go from BG1 to BG2, but I read the Pantaloons Enigma and apparently the Golden Pantaloons do. The other day a friend of mine said that one time the Horn of Kazgaroth followed his character into Irenicus' prison. So I was wondering if anyone had ever found a list of all the items that can be brought to BG2? Excuse my ignorance, I'm a bit of a newbie.
I don't just mean pausing the game and dropping your equipment. There must be some equipment that will specifically stay with you by transporting itself to chests around the dungeon. The Horn of Kazgaroth and the Golden Pantaloons are not there normally.
I think...

There are some items that transfer from imported BG1 savegames, I think these are:
the Horn of Kazgaroth or
the Hand of Kazgaroth or
Koveras' Ring of Protection
(maybe more, that are all I remember
)
One of those items will appear in the chest where Balduran's Helm is normally if you had them in your main character's inventory at the end of BG1.
The Golden Pantaloons will be in the room with the Golem behind the trapped painting on the northern wall.

There are three kinds of people that no one understands: geniuses, madmen and guys that mumble.

Thats not what he means. (I think!)
He means for example the Golden Pantaloons, when you start the game, you lose all equipmenmt, however due to having them equiped they end up in a chest (infact a painting) near your prison cell. Also items (although I am not certain) such as the ring and horn of kazgaroth (spelling?) appear in Irenicus's Dungeon because you brought them into BG2.
They don't mean what items appear in BG2 that were also in BG1.

Thanks for the advice. I might try and find the Cloak of Balduran and see if that comes with me too. It's possible that it's 'name' items. Like the Hand of Kazgaroth, the Helm of Balduran, etc. etc.
Maybe...
Oh yeah, if you don't have the Helm of Balduran when transferring a character from Baldur's Gate 1 to 2, will it still turn up in Irenicus' bedroom?
