I've lost my saved games. Upon reinstalling windows, Windows found many fragments on my hard drive. It found some full files, and my KotoR saves might be among them.
I'd just like to know what the saved game extension is. There are other files along with it, I know, like .TGA for the screenshot of where you are and some other little files, but is it just .sav or something?

Well It's OK now. I figured it out. I just reinstalled KotoR, and then edited each file in a hex editor, to see what it looks like inside. Then I searched all my "found" files for targa files. I found one that was the screenshot that KotoR automatically makes when you save the game. I then looked at the files around that one picture and found the save game files. I then put them back into the saved game folder and *volia*, it works!
