How Augmentations Work

Post by Bloodthroe »

I just found a fire augmentation. I realize that the augmentations were pretty much explained. That you can only use one on one weapon once. Looking at the legendary weapons, they seem to have more then one augmentation. So does that mean I can use more then one augmentation on a weapon or is it just that since they are legendary weapons that they get to have more then one? Also, does this mean that I can't use augmentations on legendary weapons that already have augmentations on them?

I'm pretty sure that you can only use one augmentation on a weapon at a time and that you can't use them on legendary weapons, but I want to ask and be sure before I go around using up mine. And, I don't have any legendary weapons yet to test out my second question on.
I kill two dwarves in the morning, I kill two dwarves at night. I kill two dwarves in the afternoon, and then I feel alright. I kill two dwarves in time of peace and two in time of war. I kill two dwarves before I kill two dwarves, and then I kill two more.
I may be bad, but I feel good.

Legendary weapons

The Legendary weapons dont have any open augmentation slots. So the answer there is "No" you cant add augmentations to them.

As far as doubling up on augmentations. ie. using 2 flame augmentations in the same weapon, I'm not sure what would happen. You can always save the game, augment the weapon and give it a try. If you don't like it reload the game from your save point.

Just remember once you put the augmentation in the weapon, you cannot take it back out.

Yeah, thanks for answering the legendary weapons question. I would've tried the two augmentations thing already, but all I have is one flame augmentation and no other augmentations of any kind. :( So I'm hoping people who have gotten a little further then me in the game can give me some insight. :)

you can use doubles on some weapons. using the legendary weapons as an example if you had a healthe augmentation on it and a flame it would heal you and use flame. as for doubling up on flame augmentatios i did it with an obsidian greathammer and i think it just doubles the flame damage it does.(a good weapon to augment is the obsidian greataxe which i killed the legendary white balverine with.it can be found in the oakvale graveyard under the axe.part of a side-quest.)just to help
What is mind? no matter, what is matter? never mind

-alrite we'll kill him first then have tea and biscuits
-ok
-not biscuits
-alrite alrite lets just kill him
-hey hes buggered off
-he 'as hes scarpered
