Dragons eye lvl 4 (spoiler)

i just finished lvl 4 of dragons eye
BUT i never got the option of going to the chest on the small island(walkthrough calls this mephits lair)
now before i play on and start saving over my saved games from dragons eye
is there anything REALLY good in that chest?
also anyone have an idea why i wasnt given the choise to go there?

I don't remember very well what's in the chest. Couldn't get the chest unlocked...

There is nothing critical in there from memory, probably some gold and gems and a minor magic item but nothing earthshaking.

there is long sword.. cant remember its name.. but it is decent.. you can get to that place when you have went 4 days back in time..

The only way to get there is by boat, so I guess you should be able to ask the ferryman to take you there... What does the walkthrough say?

walkthrough says to get there by boat on day 4(mephits lair)
i never got this option though
i spend like 54k taking boats to various locations to see if that would give me the option of going to mephits lair on day 4(thank god for save games)

Well go to new day.. and try then..

Or enable cheat keys.. (in config)
and type this:

ctrlaltdelete:enablecheatkeys()

and then press crtl and j.. (when your mouse is near that box)
