Doubts

Post by ZeaL20 »

I have a tech lvl of 65, can i wear enchanted armor or enchanted melee weapons? If not where to get great melee weapons? And plz tell me there are good weapons that use firearms skill... I´ve updated my gunsmith skill to lvl 4, and lvl 3 and 4 weapons are WAY WORSE than lvl 2 gun. The prob is that lvl 2 gun is becoming too weak.. Thx

You can wear anything but the benifit is affected be your number on the magic/tech meter. If you're magical 50% then the magic on armor or weapon is at 50 % of the stated number. If your Tech then nothing.

The best weapon is the falchion in the Void. But one other is randomly available in any chest. Thats the Arcane Great Sword and one is found in site The Bog found above and to the left side of the Grey Mountains.

I've used gun once before and found it weaker than melee and magic spell Harm. Melee is connected to strength so its damage increase better than a gun. So I recommend you use both. Where are you in the game. If you've been to Qintarra then get the quest to free the lost hunter you will learn the blessing site and all heartstones. Do the quest asigned there and you'll battle some evil bandits. Take thier weapons and pick the best one of several rifles.

When you get to Caladon after going to Tsen-Ang find Virgil and help him and the bandits there have weapons like found on schmatics. Or just use schematics and the gun building skills.

Of couse I think you've been adding to the skills to increase gun use like DX and PE, and you need IN to use the gun making skills.

If you still don't like your progress download level 127 from http://www.sierra.com. The mod data file .mes is a text file that allows you to change the numbers to suit you likes. I actually divided each level by 10 removing the least significant digit. I get to 25 by the time I get to Shrouded hills and I was 97 on Thantos.

Er.. I´ve just arrived at ashbury and found that it was a dwarf that gave me the ring and only visited ashbury, tarant, shrouded hilss, the kingdom of magic (the one that doesnt likes tech) and black root... I don´t know nothing about the void or the bog :)

I know nothing about spells, so cant compare...

So i can sell my charmed armor, and magic weapons do no good also.. oh well... I only hope that elephant gun makes the skills points i spent on intelligence and perception a good choice... I´ve spent on DX because of the melee, didn´t know it was also related to firearms. I have low beauty, charisma, willpower, constitution, but 15 PE, 15 DX, 12 STR and 16/17 INT...

What are you talking about? the 127 level? Whats that?

Thx for your time and help.

Level 127 is a mod for Arcanum that allow the player to earn 127 level points instead of 50. Plus the text file holding the points to gain the next level can be changed by you. This means that you can turn on more operations like multiple spell schools and multiple Tech build items. Plus you can put all skills up to 20, plus your health and fatigue will reach into the 400s so your almost undefeatable. If you do the the Blessing Quest then your final health and fatigue will be in the 500s. Its not required to have this mod just a different way to practice more skills. You could do for example is to max at haggel, prowling, picklock, spot trap, make trap, disarm traps, gamble, pick pocket, repair, persausion, melee and dodge. Extra points can be used to max charisma, and all other basic skills. The towns will be open to you to explore and youl'll get lots of money.

But what would be the fun of teh game then? You can also play another time a get almost a new full experience. Playing as a full tech and full mage will make the game feel diferent, only the story will remain the same. Thats fun (the mod) if you already finished the game 2 or 3 times without cheating. But thx for the advice, i shall use the mode later :)
