Plz help!! trouble installing BG1 on XP!

Post by T1MB0 »

i've decided to play Baldurs Gate 1 again, but i'm having trouble installing it on windows XP. When i click install on the autorun menu on disc 1, i get this window:

16 bit Windows Subsystem

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

Can anyone help me with this?? cos i really wanna play this game again!! Cheers.

In this order,
-Make sure Windows is patched (just not SP2). Service Pack 2 can cause problems with some applications for no apparent reason, including Bioware classics.
-Make sure your game is patched.

Within seconds I found this on a Google search. Try this:
