powerful enchants?

Post by robot flux »

Is it possible to really power-up jewellery with magic? For instance, is it possible to enchant let's say an exgravant amulet with invisibility?

e.g.

Amulet of invisibility:
Invisibility (constant effect)

??

And if so, does it cost much? (at least I think it would...like a lot)

The reason why I ask this because I'm thinking of creating a trickster. Like with the ring of surroundings and then the amulet with 80% chameleon when used. But constant effect. Though the ring+amulet give 100%+ chameleon (which is by the way REALLY NICE FOR KILLING people without major drawbacks or retaliation, I would like to create an amulet with constant 100% chameleon effect...possible?

***EDIT***

Is the twilight gem (worth 10,000gp+?) useful for this power-upping?

Only Golden Saint and Ascended Sleeper gems (20000 gold) are useful for CE enchantments (God souls are wasted on them)

You CAN have an extravagant ring with CE invisibility, however the effect will be dispelled just like any other invisibility effect. Better get CE chameleon.

CE chameleon is quite expensive to create.. both in points and in actual gold. Much easier to simply find the Amulet of Shadows (80% chameleon for 60 seconds).
This amulet, along with a good sneak ability is all you'll ever really need.....
But if you are really looking for fun with enchanting games, and don't mind paying out the gold.. Get yourself an exquisite ring or amulet, and a high level soul... Then create a ring of telekinesis at about 80 feet for 30 seconds... :p

Also very handy if your security ability is on the low side... a ring with 100 points of unlocking... :D

These toys, especially used in combination with one another, will allow you to liberate essentially any item your little heart desires :p

Therefore I never made a CE chameleon. I simply had an EXTRAVAGANT ring with 12 seconds of 100% chameleon and an extravagant amulet with 100 open.

I don't get this. You mean I couldn't switch with the CE inv. amu and e.g. Amulet of opening?

And the thing is that my fighter now has the ring with 20%CH and then the amulet of shadows 80%...And combining these two gives me always chameleon of 100%...sure it's fun to kick some Daedra's ass, no doubt about that, escpecially cause they cant hit me back. But a CE chameleon would be nice...

So I need the soultrap scrolls and then just kick some ass? But where are the most powerful creatures located? Or should I just create another char, with more magic skills?

Your level must be high enough, because Daedra are in the leveled lists. Go to Ald Daedroth (North of Tel Vos, southeast of Dagon Fel). You should find some Golden Saints and Ascended Sleepers there. Cast Soultrap on them (a weapon with on-hit soultrap is very very handy) and kill them while the soultrap is active. Be sure that you carry a Grand Soul Gem or Azuras Star with you. If you don't know what Azuras Star is, just do a forum search. The problem with invisibility is that it's canceled when you do something, like attacking or opening a chest, so you will have to re-equip your ring constantly. Chameleon is much better for stealthy purposes.

If you're of sufficiently high-enough level, just run around the Red Mountain area soul-trapping Ascended Sleepers. You'll end up with more than you know what to do with. If you've got a decent enough Marksman skill, you can take them out from long range without getting zapped by their spells.

I found the easiest way to get souls for soul trapping is go to tel branora and buy summom golden saint, (now I dont know about anyone else but I can never cast this its just too much magic) then go and enchant an item with summon golden saint for 20 or so seconds and now you can summon a golden saint anywhere you want soul trap it, kill it, and capture the soul.
I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other gods you will understand why I dismiss yours.

First of all, I do know that invisibility in on until I do something stupid (like brainfart, thanks FO2 manual ;) ). But usually the first hit helps me a lot, e.g. spellcasters can't really cast spells cause I'm constantly hitting them.

So basically, I need big ass soul gems, and an enchanter? Can't I just kill the magi Guild chick and steal hers? :p

If your stealth abilities are good enough.. it really isn't that tough to steal from her without bloodshed. Also,

if you do the first set of quests in the Balmora mage's guild.. you end up getting a golden opportunity with little chance of being caught..
