it would be more helpful for us if you could list the other members of your party.

Minsc is Hilarious especially when you have high reputation =)
Also he has that talking sword, I cant stop laughing at the comments they make haha

Stupid is who stupid does haha, wonder where he got that from.. =)
You cant do without him.
And it saddens me to think about having to change weapon when advetureres mart special stock opens up =( i think ill keep it anyways
And yeah Anomen is so strong (I have both)
Ariel Serpants are so god damn strong and they last like forever
Hasted they are really mean killing machines. I alwas use a pack of them to take care of mindlflayers etc.
I also had Yoshimo til he betrayed me obviously. Him and Minsc both had Daystar ( little importing and exporting =)) as secondary weapon. Its Sunfire? ability (i think it is) is so strong, especially if both cast it at the same time T_T add a couple of speeded ariel servants to that to keep monster od their back while casting and bye bye Vampires, liches etc.
Haha Also 5 speeded ariel servants kills Liches before they get the spell protections on after the dialog _:_:_:_:_

I think anomen is stronger, for the Ariel servants only. Omg they are so strong, add haste and they are unstoppable.
Also they do awesome damage when monsters seem immune to anything else i try

Korgan doesn't "go away" at any point, unless he has conflicts with party members (he probably will with aerie in bg2, but it can be avoided).

The same with Nalial, she is also a character who doesn't "go away".

What I'd do, is stick with your current party through the game (if your happy with them) - then change Korgan for the extra fighter you get in ToB. (won't name it for spoiler reasons.)

yeah throwing in spoilers is really pleasant.

as for your party, it's pretty powerful as it is. you have two major tanks in yourself and Korgan, the best backup tank in the game in Jaheira (the spells 'ironskins' is your best friend ;) ) and also anomen who, with his priest spells (draw upon holy might, holy power, champion's strength, righteous magic) makes one heck of a tank.

with anomen and aerie you have enough clerical power to get you through and nalia just about has enough theiving skills. SPOILER(highlight to read): you will get imoen back when you reach spellhold (that's the place you're raising money to go to. if you raise the money quickly, imoen will join your party at about the same level as everyone else, thus making a better addition to the party than nalia

if you wish to take minsc, drop korgan. you need anomen's healing spells in there while you are not that experienced at the game.

well, anomen doesnt seem like a very effective tank, but his spells are great so ill keep him...

as for minsc and korgan, korgan has more health and generally a better AC because he uses a shield...but i am the epitome of a tank, so i think i will be fine no matter who i drop...but i need help deciding whether to keep minsc, who will never leave, or korgan who keeps bugging the heck out of me to go do what he wants...suggestions?

Party choices

It is a good choice to keep Anomen, he is great as a fighter/cleric all the way to the end of ToB. Me maynot be strong as a pure fighter but his high level cleric spells, combined with buffs, the best shield and armor will help to hold the line in a battle when your fighter or minsc is fighting someone else. This will help stop Nalia and Aerie from getting cut down. Jaheria is also good at this. When I played my party was:
Me(Wizard)
Anomen
Minsc
Viconia
Jaheria
Another Thief/Mage
Cleric overkill but all the extra spells and having extra people in full-plate helped a lot. This meant that Anomen and Jaheria were back up fighters.

Minsc is good to keep as a second fighter unless you like to use Keldorn who is pretty good too. It is a hard choice to make when most of the characters are so good! Even Jan Jansen is handy :)

whats vinconia? fighter?

and since my character is an outstanding fighter, do i just need one more pure tank, or will he suffice, and get another mage?

You have already have one thread about how to reconfigure your party, which you've been posting in repeatedly over the last day or so. Now you've changed this one from a Minsc/Anomen thread into a duplicate or your other one.

It's closed.
