A little short
A little short
Did anyone else find that this game was sorly lacking in length? i beat the main story(and a fair portion of the optionals) in just over 6 hours, how long did it take others?

Someone else posted in my recent thread (inquiring about how the game turned out) by saying it ran to about 20 hours, and they lost interest after 10. That's the mark of a relative dud, to me.

I heard the game was about 15 hours long if you dont do all the side things. But I've spent hours just doing the first couple quests, because I do a lot of side things. Maybe it only took you 6 hours, because you already knew everything to do. Some of the things take a while to learn like combat controls and how to do the gambling and other many side things. So I wonder if it took you 6 hours to beat it your first time or was this just your second time around?
I kill two dwarves in the morning, I kill two dwarves at night. I kill two dwarves in the afternoon, and then I feel alright. I kill two dwarves in time of peace and two in time of war. I kill two dwarves before I kill two dwarves, and then I kill two more.
I may be bad, but I feel good.

My question is, are these people using the strategy guide or not, because that would basically walk you through the game and not require you to think at all. Not that this is a thinking game, but knowing the most efficient ways to do things would help I'd think.

If anyone remembers the old resident evil games, I know people who beat those in like 2 hours using only the knife. Those strategy guides are kind of crazy sometimes.

No this was my first time through and I had no help from a guide and I didn't even ask my friend(who i borrowed it from) how to do anything, its not that hard,I mastered combat and magic controls in about 5 mins, also I got a Obsidan Cleaver fairly early on so I was able to slaughter the early monsters really easily, it might be surpising but the mission i had the most difficulty with was the one where you compete with Whisper to kill the hobbes, the reast were dead easy, I mean Jack of Blades is hardly a challenge, just survive his spells and hit him with a bow from a distance, and Maze justs need to be fought close in, quick and brutal

Yeah, I understand. I only brought up learning how to combat as an example of some of the things that might side-track you in the game. Still, I've spent hours on the game and I've only done a few missions. I wonder if you missed out on all the neat side ventures.
Morrowind itself is a veryshort game if you just go through the main quest, but it's VERY long if you do some of the side things.

I did 5 side quests, also i opened most of the demon doors i found, plus i got married and bought a house and did most of the little competitions around the guild, also anyone i found who wanted me to do something i helped them, so i have no idea how i did it all in 6 hours

it could have been better
it actually took me 24 hours to beat the game but i did every side quest and tried to find as much stuff as possible. it didnt take me long to master controls or combat i took my time w/ the game.. but i still think they could have made it better.
I think it would be cool if they made sequal that only played off characters created in the first game. (just pick up where the story left off w/ all your stats and items)

They could do that only thing is once you beat the game you pretty much have the best items around, even with just my weapon(sword of aeons) i can shred anything that stands in my way, so if they did that there would be no difficulty, either way, thats not what this thead is supposed to be about
