Would you consider this tactic cheesy?

I have found it a worthwhile tactic to just send your PC alone to trigger spawn points at times. Then after the enemy spawns, to run away a safe distance before going to Add Party Members option.

The main areas I found this very worthwhile were in Lower Taris and the Tattooin Dune Sea.

Usually if you had Carth and yourself upon entering Lower Taris, there is a very high percentage of getting mauled :) . I find it great to send my PC in alone then run away to the Rodian bouncer nearby (your PC will take some damage) who is basically unkillable and usually not all the enemies follow after your PC. So you can have the bouncer distract them while your PC picks them off with a ranged weapon. Lure the rest one at a time or call in Carth and place him near the bouncer before going solo mode and then lure them in.

The same at the Dune sea. Just send your PC. Once the three tough sand people spawns, cast Force speed and run away until they stop following. Add Party members, go solo mode and then lure them one by one :) .

Well, it's not that it's cheesy, it's just completely unnecessary. Unless you're saving levels for your jedi class on taris, those three vulkars you first meet are insanely easy, especially if you have carth. As for the three holy warrior spawns, (I think that's what you're talking about because ordinary sand people die in a single swift cut of your saber or a few blasts of lightning) those are also fairly easy, just use some buffing force powers, if LS, incapacitate them, if DS, and throw on a melee shield.

cheesy is figuring out where calo nord is going to spawn and putting 50 fragmentation/plasma mines where he's going to appear...

or exploiting the item duplication bug..

this is just good tactics, like using plague on dark jedi... :D

And like I said, entirely unneccessary, like using plague on dark jedi.

I don't consider it cheezy I don't think it's very necessary either, but I mean it's strategy nothing is cheezy about strategy imo if it helps you or makes you win who cares???
