BG 1 Bard Import

Post by Grandpa »

Anyone know if an imported bard can be converted to a Blade? I don't have BG installed at the moment, but I know that a Fighter imported can not choose to convert to a Kensai, for example. Thanks :D .

You can always try to import him and then edit his kit with Shadowkeeper.

Hmm, last time I imported a character from BG1 to BG2 (though I admit that was a looong time ago ;) ) I could choose a kit.
Perhaps you couldn't choose Kensai because of incompatible (ie. 'not lwaful') alignment ?

Har! Yes, that may be why Numinor. I think I was wanting to play a chaotic good fighter, forgetting that Kensai's cannot be chaotic anything. Yes, I could also Shadowkeep the Blade. Was just curious :) .

I've always been able to choose kits when importing to BG2 from BG1. I recently played a 6-member party through both games, and put kits on four of the characters (one was a cleric-mage, so couldn't have a kit, and the other I just forgot.)
