I'm an 18th level ranger at the final battle with Morag. I'm loaded with protective potions, powerful weapons and a rod of reversal for spells. I go in and keep hammering on the statue like the walk through says but nothing gives. I just keep hammering it and hammering it but I do little or no damage. Any suggestions?
Suggestion 1: try to use a font/size combination that will make your post just fit into one screen.
Suggestion 2: Are you sure that you are hitting the right statue (with the right weapon)?

"Heya! Have you been to Baldur's Gate? I've been to Baldur's Gate... Oops, stepped into something. Have you stepped into something?"
My suggestions:
1. Don't EVER use writing like that again. People don't exactly take to ridiculous sized fonts in red. It is just annoying, makes it less clear, and a normal sized font will get your point across just as well if not better.
2. Try using a different weapon. This is a statue don't forget, and like undead, don't suffer too much from piercing or slashing damage too much. What you need is something like a mace or flail. Nice bit of bludgeoning might work a little better. Other than that, keep hammering away at it.
3. If you have a reload, go to the point where you can still rest, just after the 2 dragons you will no doubt have encountered. Make sure you have a henchman, your animal companion, and summoning spells. I would perhaps try and duke it out with the Chosen Ones and the Cleric (don't forget to get the Cleric first!), and then summon everything you can so that the other 3-5 (only one summons at a time remember!) to keep back Morag's Hands while you hit the blade barrier.
To be honest with you, that is the hard part. Dealing with Morag's Hands and the blade barrier, plus a few other enemies outside her little section, can be quite difficult. Morag herself is quite a poor oponent. Once you are inside the barrier, all you need to do is :::kill the priest you with the type of damage you want to deal to her. The walkthough will tell you about this. Once that is done you just need to break done her damage resistance and carry on til she is dead::: I was a very "alround" ranger, didn't have any massively high stats, and was only at level 15, but Morag still found it very difficult to hit me, and when she did she only seemed to do about 5 points damge MAX.
