OMG...I've lost EVERYTHING !!!

Post by Scayde »

I popped in Tribunal last night before last and ran through the whole thing...had great fun, zipped back to the mainland to ditch some loot and cash in some items with Creeper before heading out for Bloomoon...Problem?

EVERYTHING CREEPER HAD IS GONE !!!

I had used Creeper as a stash and cash stop...he had hundreds of items, including all of the articles from the Daedric quests, except for Azura's Star, which I always carry...his inventory has ben reset and it is ALL gone

The stuff I left laying in the floor and the items in th overflow bag are still there....but Creeper's inventory has been wiped out

Has this happened to anyone else, or was it just a glitch in my game...and if it has happened, did you find where the items went? Are they back in their original locations, or gone from the game altogether?

That was the only pair of Daedric Pauldons in the game :(

it might be that creeper had gone ad stuck his little AI hands into the pool of items all merchants get. The same thing is with crates, items will respawn in their crates after a while and everything stored there will be lost. Merchants get a 'pool' of stuff they randomly pick..perhaps that to respawns after a while automatically, it's never happened to me so i'm not totally sure i'm correct there but that wouldn't surprise me.

the safest thing is to leave it on the floor..your characer is the only thief in the game so there's no worry to let it get stolen.

I really don't like this answer :( :p

Seriously..you may be right, but I think it is something to do with completing the Tribunal part of the game the other night...I have played this same game, same character for three years and NEVER had ANYTHING go missing in Creeper's inventory...for some reason though, when I went back after completing the Tribunal part of the three pack, his inventory was reset...everything that I had left in his stash was gone...and after three years of game play, there was quite a bit there

I am quite sure it was a memory dump. I was just wondering if this had happened to anyone else, or was it a glitch in my game because it had gotten so big....

I dont know what your playing on but I am playing xbox and yes it has happend to me and to one off my friends but not with creeper It happend to me and him with the mudcrab I think its just that you had to much stuff on him. I never really tried that hard to go out and get the stuff but I have a feeling its gone and lost forever.

I believe the inventory is gone. I can't remember where it was in the game that I got a warning about vendors loosing inventory - perhaps it was a comment from an NPC. It was a mention about seeing a particular weapon in a shop that wasn't bought at the time, and then, on returning later to purchase it, the weapon was gone.

But yes, I've had the Creeper dump his inventory on me - twice. I'm not sure what triggers it. The first time he dumped inventory on me was after about 4 months of play when he had quite a bit of material. I guessed that I had hit his maximum item number and the game had decided to respawn to clean the slate. However, the second time was about 2 weeks after the first time, when Creeper only had about 20 items on him.

Since then I've been careful to not give any vendor any item I might want later. I just leave it on the ground. I haven't had the Creeper dump anything since then, and he's the only vendor that I use repeatedly that has dumped at all. But I'm very careful now. Sorry to hear you lost some important stuff.

If your game took 3 years to clear the Creeper, and I've had it happen in as little as 2 weeks, then perhaps the timing is totally random.

PS. I just started Tribunal last week, and both my Creeper dumps happened before that, so it has nothing to do with completing Tribunal.
