stuck in verditas

kind of wierd, first time to verditas, guards advised not to walk after dark, did anyhow and while dark met up with guards, was told not to panic and game went to like a cut scene with me standing in front of guards and stayed there,people were moving all around me but i couldnt move.

I recall that being a scripted scene, with an attacker coming out of nowhere, killing someone, then rushing off. I've never had it freeze on me. Did you download the latest patch? And are you running any firewall in the background?
