Knights of Tamriel (Kynareth): Help Please (and therefore possible spoilers)!

Post by dragon wench »

For a few limited hours this morning I was able to hook my son's computer to the internet so that I could download some armour for him. He really likes the Knights of Tamriel mods, but of course, the site was down when I went there... Since time was limited and he is a tad impatient I looked around for other possible download locations. Eventually I found one... but it appears to be a Polish (I think) version... Not a problem where the fighting is concerned... but a serious obstacle where dialogue and text go. After slaughtering everybody that attacked him, and figuring he has rescued somebody, my son is a little stuck. So if anybody has played the Kynareth mod through and acquired the armour I would very much appreciate something of a walkthrough...

Cheers! :)

(Not an answer, but also a KoT question)

I'm currently in the Akatosh chapel, north of Caldera, where the priest gave me Dragon's Teeth and sent me over tot he Time Chambers. I got past Jiub, the Census officer, Caius, some giant Clannfears, but when I enter the last room all I see is green fog and somebody with 600 hp attacking me. The fight isn't that bad, but how do I see something trough that thick green fog?

@DW: If you still want the English version of Kynareth, PM me your msn and i'll send it to you

I think DW had a specific purpose with her question at the top--in fact, she even mentinoed Kynareth. Please, let's keep this thread focused on her question. If anybody wants to ask others, we still have a few unallocated threads available. ;)

@DW, I've played through 4 of the Tamriel mods, but I couldn't tell you which ones they were. If you give me the building that starts the mod--where it's located, who are the first opponents you face--I may be able to recall whether I've done Kyraneth, or not. If I have, I won't be able to post a walkthrough, but I might get your son past the problem spot: not much, I know, but better than nothing.

The mod is located just outside of Pelagiad on the road to Balmora and it is a temple.. There are 2 (?) Breton women standing outside, and there is a Breton (?) slave inside that you rescue...
As I recall the first opponents were a form of daedra (or at least they had daedra hearts). Shortly after that, my son seemed to be battling 2 figures with red helms that were vaguely orcish in style..

@Moltovir,
thanks for the offer ! :) The thing is, I already have the English versions of the mods on my own computer but I was having trouble transferring them onto disc :rolleyes: Of course, it just hit me that I should have emailed them from my computer to my webmail account and then pulled them down onto my son's computer.... duh... :o :rolleyes: :o But now that my son has the Polish versions installed.. I could seriously mess things up if I tried to replace them... aargh... :D

That's one of the two I haven't finished, @DW, the other being Mara--sorry. I got to the pair of orc guards, but interrupted to do plenty of other things. I have returned to them, yet.

Tell your son to be sure he's checked around the rooms. There's at least one, possibly more objects (besides anything given to you by the priestess, outside) that have to be used to advance through at least one portal door.
