Empty potion bottles

Post by Minerva »

I have killed the slave lords in the Temple District, and found some empty bottles. Are they any use? I never found them anywhere else (so far).

Was there a specific quest involved in that place? I just wondered in there and all hell broke lose! Sure was worth it though!

I don't think there's any quest involved in there. I just walked in and killed monsters, went upstairs, and killed those tough guys. Then got some goodies, like Celestial Fury.

I wondered about this too. There seems to me to have been an omission here in that there is no quest to direct you to the "guarded compound" and once inside I never found out much about what was going on although the fight was tough and the loot excellent. I have read that the place is the HQ of the "slaver lords." If that's true, surely it should have been linked in some way with the anti-slave quests in the Copper Coronet?

The creators of the game wanted to put in a high-level quest, but cut in in the end Image.

I've browsed through the dialog text file, and stumbled across a few lines that the Lich in the Twisted Rune was supposed to tell you. He implies Koshi wrote the location of the Rune down somewhere, and that you found the note. FYI, Koshi is one of the people in the Guarded Compound.

It would seem the slavers' quest does not end after routing them on the ship ... it was ultimately leading you to the Twisted Rune. Why they cut the final part out is beyond me.

On the same note, has anyone ever been able to do anything in the house where you pick up Cernd's son? Or the door above Anomen's father's house??

Both have a door which is 'barred from the other side', but interestingly enough, when you pick up Cernd's son, a Lich appears who wants to know where the host remains ...

Is this also Twisted Rune material? Is it something completely different? I don't know...

Hmm.. I pick up Cernd's son and that didn't happen. Different versions I guess?

Glad to see you are a man of the people Maurice, still posting like wildfire!

i read somewere that the "barred from inside" house was suposse to be a place to give you a quest were you going to the cripts after the the drow and her´s spiders, the reward was going to be the "spider´s bane" but it din´t make it for the final relese.why? go ask bioware.
the house were you pick up cern´s kid the mesage is there becase the lich and mage are supose to come from there and it´s possible to get in the house before you get cern.

Back to my first question, there is no use of the potion bottles, then? And what will happen if I have already killed those slave lords before I eventually came across the quest? I did Jaheira's curse quest and exposed Isaea Roenal as a slave trader some time ago, and have not seen anything yet.

It´s on the note that you get from the "Amn guard like" on the sea bounty. The note say. "..liking him to the slaves on the temple district".
slopy work back at bioware.right (maybe the fix that on the expacion or a patch)
