Elf moves slower than dwarf?

Post by Mondrin »

I just started this game and noticed from the very start that my elf rogue moves slower than my dwarf wizard. This is a bit of a pain and I can't figure out why. Speed of both is listed correctly and neither are encumbered. Another bug? I am only using the offical patch #2 from Atari.

Thats weird, the base landspeed of an elf is 30 and a darf has a baselandspeed of 20ft.
And the armor doesnt slow them down (light armor that is)
I do not have the touch, nor do I have the power.

Do you mean in combat, or just running around?

Just running around. I've only been in 2 combats and didn't pay attention to that at the time. The bad pathing of the characters makes having a slow member a pain when moving around the maps.

Does your elf actually seem to be running, or are they crouched down and moving with their legs apart?

If so, then your elf rogue is sneaking. You'll have to turn that off through your elf's radial menu.

She's not sneaking as I've played with that mode. She is running. All three other characters move at the same rate (dwarf, dwarf, human). Only the elf moves slower. She gets far enough behind that I end up having to wait for her at times before hitting the next move point or she'll end up going some path that is not good.
