A swordsman ability table

Hrmm I was thinking of making a good charecter that uses mainly Might moderate skill and a little will. I was thinking of getting slow time, push, heal, and lighting for my four spells since im not goin' spell crazy. I just need some guidance on how to spread out my skill and might, oh and I ultimatly want to get Harbringer from the temple of Avo.

Well you won't be needing to put any exp points into skill unless you want to get guile. Speed isn't worth it unless you have more exp points then you know what to do with. Since you said you arent going spell crazy I don't suggest putting too many points into will. So Im thinking just put twice as many exp points into strength as you put into your will. You might want to rethink the Lightning spell. Fireball would be more useful as your ranged attack. Lightning doesnt do much damage just hits lots of targets at higher levels.

Yeah I know what lightning does im just getting it so I can slow down enemys in my chain. Since you told me speed is kinda worthless im gonna go spell warrior.

My char has harbringer now and I started just like you and passing the game was really easy. What you want to do is get multi-strike as your first will. This will make even the cheapest sword usefull. Stick with light weapons since you won't be putting anything in SPEED right now. ( most likely the longswords...since you can instant-kill stunned enemies and it has longer reach than katana) Each time you can buy a better longsword, buy it. The other WILL spells that I chose was PHYSICAL SHIELD, so that getting my attack modifier very high would be easy, therefore getting EXPERIENCE would be a lot easier and boosting your strength would be faster. My third spell was slow time. This was a very usefull combo with multi-strike...makes you invincible.

Then you just boost w/e accordingly to how your battles are going... if you're not killing fast enough, boost physique and multi-strike... if you're dying to quickly boost up phys shield and magic power OR health and toughness... and if everything is going fine, boost slow time and w/e you think nessessary.

This is exactly what I did and I never had one problem fighting. You'll just have realized that you don't even need the Harbringer just about when you'll be able to wield it!

Well what I meant is the speed skill you can research is kind of worthless unless youre an archer. It doesn't help that much in melee if really at all.

Yeah now the only question is to be good or evil? Evil ahs that bad ass dark chain, but they have that receding hairline, how is an evil madman who has never been to abraber in 5 years supposed to be taken seriously if I can't grow hair? What the heck I'll be good, let me see I'll wear bright will robes when flirting with women and chain while slaughtering bandits. I forgot about multi strike that is one kick ass spell especially combined with berserk and slow time, that's my favorite combo
