Can someone help me with Character models?

Hiya

Ok this is my problem,
My main character is a warrior/mage, and for those of you who know the game well, the character model for this character is a warrior...But I like the mage model much better. I heard that the game itself allows you to change your character models by pressing cntrl 6 or 7, but that crashes my computer nearly 3/4 of the time. Not to mention that when I place a robe on you don't actually see any change on the character besides a small color change (Which is annoying as hell).

Ok enough jaber, can anyone point me to some kind of character editor that would change my character model? I know there was one for BG1, and I used it, but my imported character got changed back.

HELP! =)

Shadow Keep help there. I got the same problem by crashing.

It doesn't crash for me, but i wouldn't waste any time trying, because even when the game doesn't crash, it always changes back to the original model when you load a game.
