Saverok is dead but somehow I am stuck

Post by alexales »

Hello everyone, I hope you can help me. I just finished the battle with Saverok and then got the message that this game will be saved in my Final Save Slot. And I thought from there I can go off to the Tales of the Sword coast.
BUT the game that's saved in the Final Game Slot is not is not the right one, it's an older version where Saverok is still alive!!!
Am I looking in the wrong spot? I really want to go on and do the expansion but if Saverok is not dead I might be screwed doing that.

does that make any sense, can you guys help me? man, I feel kinda stupid about this

thanks a lot

you are supposed to complete TotSC BEFORE you beat Sarevok.

So load your final game, go beat the TotSC areas, them come back and kill Sarevok

When you kill serevok, the game ends. If you have installed the expension or not.
I usually install TotSC (Tales of the Sword Coast) right away, and visit those area's while following the main storyline.
TotSC offers some new area's and quests/items/etc. but non of them are part of the main storyline.

So load your savegame, visit the new area's (start in Ulgoth's Beard) and follow it from there.
When your done, pay another visit to serevok.
Dont worry, Sarevok might be easy when you played trough TotSC but you will encounter some tough enemy's there!

PS. Welcome to the board
I do not have the touch, nor do I have the power.

When you kill Sarevok your game state is saved into the Final Save and the game ends. Then you can copy your Final Save over to yout BG2 install, and import it from there.

Otherwise, do the ToSC stuff before killing Sarevok, as the other guys have said.

Best of luck,
TGHO
