Wand of undead: big disappointment!!!!

Finally I got my hands on the wand of undead (form B.S.), that was the main reason to proceed in that boring exercise of B.S., but when I started to use it the undead summoned were the lowliest level of zombies and skeletons, weaker of the first version you get with your lev. 5 cleric!!!!
My party is mid/high lev (got out of underdark) and that wand is total crap, the summons don't last more than a coupple of blows from Yuan-ti.
Is it normal? And if so how is it possible that you get a such crappy reward for on of the highest rank of B.S.?
I'm very disappointed!!!

Here is a comlete list of the Battle square rewards. If you've got enough and don't want to complete the challenge, you can install a mod which gives you the whole stuff without even fighting a goblin

Sorry, maybe I was not clear in my thread, but I know what the rewards are and I actually pass through that boring part (at least after you made several ranks!) just to get that wand (beacuse I consider the summon undead spell very useful and so I could spare spell slot from my pries and not select it for my sorcerer), but that "crappy" wand just summon undead of the luwliest level (not tight to the caster level).
I was just wandering if that is normal (I fear so), and in that case that is a very disappointing reward for 9th (!!!) lev. of B.S..

i think i know why the wand is casting low level undead... but it's just a guess...
when you accuired the wand, you were at a low level yourself, right? if so, that would be the reason. the game has programed in itself to summon from a wand the cretures that are appropreat to the level you are when you accuired the wand (so i've been told). if you were a higher level when you got it, it should summom higher undead.

I don't know if that is the reason, but when I acquired the wand my clerics could summon greater boneguards and zombie lords (around lev. 12).

Maybe the summoned undead improve according to your level.

I made some testing doing BS normal with a higher lev. char (lev. 17), winned the wand of the dead but still the undeads summoned are the weakest kind.
In my case the wand is definetly crappy, does somebody got a different results (high lev. summons)?
