Who's Arthur? What quest is this? If you give some more info, I think we'll be better to help you out.

Isn't that the one with the guy in a grave, i can't remember his name so it is a possibility.

Did anyone ever notice Biff the Understudy in the Five Flagons.

Yes, but in this case, he *IS* Biff the Understudy .. he even tells you so when you speak to him after the play. In BG I (and I heard of one appearance in BG II), he appeared whenever the game couldn't generate a character ... instead, Biff the Understudy would take his place. In BG I, he appeared once to me in the Thieves Guild in Baldur's Gate.

And besides, in this situation, he DOES replace a missing character, right? Image

As for Arthur, I have two ideas: either he's the guy in the open grave, and then you simply click on the empty grave to get him out. Or he's the ghost of the halfling boy, who had been murdered. During the day, his parents are around (close to the point where you enter the map), and at night the ghost is there. Or is Arthur yet another guy??

I must admit your message confuses me a little (no, I'm not going to attack any members in my house hold, or run around aimlessly). In your first message you say you cast it, but didn't find him, and next you say he appeared after casting. I thought you wanted to know his whereabouts after you heard he was supposedly there ...

He appeared after a Detect Evil? Not a Dispel Invisibility?

I will make an effort to try it tonight.

You might want to try true sight, it continually casts, if i am not mistaken making finding that much easier Image

Arthur and his wife Maggie are standing in front of the tomb of their recently deceased servant, Jeeves. This is located just to the southwest of place No. 7 (northern entrance to Bhodi’s Lair) in the Graveyard District. If you talk to Arthur, you hear the following conversation:

Arthur: Alas poor Jeeves! I knew him well, dear.

Maggie: He was a most excellent butler.

Arthur: Not at all like the Jysstev’s butler - - what was his name?

Maggie: Jeeves, dear.

Arthur: Ah, yes. Jeeves… Our Jeeves was a much finer butler than their Jeeves. And their carriage driver, Anthony - - don’t get me started!

Maggie: Don’t get excited dear! Your heart shouldn’t have to put up with such poor service. Try not to think about it.

Arthur: The quality of his toadying was severely lacking! Not like old Jeeves here. He was the most obsequious groveler that I have ever had the pleasure of being fawned over by.

Maggie: We should get back, dear. The new Jeeves is waiting with lunch.

Arthur: Let us stay for a few minutes more. Old Jeeves would have wanted it that way.

If you talk to Arthur again, you get:

Arthur: You visit again? It is not unwelcome, even though Carl and Jergen may make it seem so. Do not overstay your welcome though, as I am unaccustomed to long visits.

If you go raid Jeeves’ tomb, you get a zircon gem.

ROFL Gwally - are you making this up or is this a never-before-seen feature in the game? ;)

Worst thing is, I actually remember this thread...

LOL @ Kam! No, its real. Weasel mentioned his great unsolved question only a few days (in SYM) before I was playing through again (last night) and encountered Arthur! So I ran a quick search and found this old thread and posted the answer here! Never too late, eh? :D

Weasel has other unanswered questions..... ;)

Well, there's a lot of confused people in that thread... :D

I can solve at least one of Weasel's problems...the exploding guy in Trademeet (who you later find in ToB...) :p

Love it -- the writing in BG2 is one of my favourite aspects of the game.
