I ran into an interesting situation on the PC version (patch 1.03 installed). I'm not sure if it's a bug or not:
I get the final Star Map on Korriban, then flew to Yavin Station and bought certain items and sold others. No problem. I go back to the Ebon Hawk and put some extraneous stuff into the storage containers in the cargo hold. Saved the game.
So I fly to the Star Forge, defeat the Sith fighters, get caught in the disruption field and crash-land on the Unknown World. When I go back to the cargo area, all the containers are empty. All the stuff in them is gone. I went back to my earlier save game and the stuff was there. I re-loaded my save game after the crash landing and it's gone.
Is this a bug or is this supposed to happen because of the crash?
Possible bug on Unknown World for PC? (POSSIBLE SPOILERS)

sounds like a map reload issue to me...
the map is changed..notice how your npcs are in different positions? just keep everything in party inventory, and you should be ok...
its not a bug, its a feature...

Actually, there is a bug of some sort.
After the crash, I went directly to the workbench to modify sabers and discovered I could only modify my own. Neither of the sabers Jolee or Juhani were carrying showed up. But once I left the ship and returned, I could work on them.
Also, none of the other characters appeared on the Equip Character or any of the other in-game menus.
Everything gets corrected once you leave the ship and return, which indicates there is some kind of bug.
I already discovered keeping things in inventory prevents losing them. Iwas jujst wondering if anyone else experienced the same problem.

actually that part about jolee and juhani is NOT a bug...
remember when you woke up in taris? even though you got an upgrade item in the endar spire for blasters, until you take carth into your party, and then go back into the hide out, you won't be able to upgrade the carth blaster...the game somehow sets a parameter that makes it like you just woke up in taris...you're the only person in your party, and until you go outside with other party members, its like you're playing solo...
i really don't think its a bug, its actually normal at certain points in the game...

Sorry, but I disagree. I understand what you mean, but early on the game is as much tutorial, so it makes sense to force the player to use the party composition screen from a design standpoint (like throwing in the "Rapid Transit Quest" when you enter Upper City South). This late in the game, after probably 40+ hours of play, it serves no purpose. In addition, there are other points in the game where you are forced to use a single character - at one notable point not even your own character - but you don't have to return to the Hawk to fix things.
Finally, this is the ONLY point in the game where it happens after you get moving on Taris, so I wouldn't call it a "normal" part of the game.
But it's a minor bug with an easy workaround, so no point in wasting time on it.
