Im currently playing as a wizard, about to hit lvl 20. Is it worthwile pursuing a pure class, or should I switch to something different after lvl 20 in one class? And if so, which one do you suggest to complement a wizard? A rogue-ish type? Monk?
I don't mind straight people, as long as they act gay.

I find it worth while to keep leveling up as a wizzard (more powerfull (epic) spells).
Else a rogue is fun/good to multiclass to. But make sure its possible because of your favorite class.

If you've gone that far in one class it's not really worth switching to another (unless it is a prestige class). This is mainly because the abilities of the new class will be pretty useless against the creatures you are facing. I'd suggest staying with Wizard for this PC, and maybe trying a multiclass PC next time.

I'm in a similar situation and went with the pale master option. That way you still get to advance with the number of spells you get (albeit a little more slowly) but still get some interesting additional abilities to play with.

More importantly though, it fitted in with the way that I was playing the character .....
