Paladin order quest The Barons Niece`

Post by Patrick »

I think I found something wierd. I did this last night. The Order of the Radiant Heart quest for Baron Hurgis(Misspelled?). Family killed by assassins and I must go to dock to watch little girl so she is not killed.
Ok, I've done this like five times??
Normally I kill the false Baron, because he is an assassin in disguise and return to the order to be credited for my task. But last night I did such but went to the Harper Hold before returning to the order and when I did rerturn they said I killed the Baron. Is that wierd or what???
Also get this, when I walk in to first relieve the Knight on duty at the house he blesses me with Torm and then says Tymora blessings too or something like that. WHy would Tymora bless me at a time like that. That seems very unappropiate. Like its a big gamble and shes bait or something?? Wierd
Screamming!!!!!!!!!!!!

This quest is one of my favorites, because it's different every game.

You need to use your paladin's "Detect Evil" ability to see if the guy is really the girls guardian or not. If he comes up evil, you get to kill him, if not, you'd better turn over the girl.

I'm nearing the end of my replay of SoA (as Paladin, had a mediocre run as Sorc last year, still haven't played ToB yet). When I hit that point, I let him take her - and found I had screwed up. So I reloaded, killed him ... and found I had screwed up. Then I actually had to stop and think. I thought about all of the suspicion questions, and remembered my 'detect evil' ability, he didn't flash red, so I let it go, and was correct.

Things like that can be frustrating, but fun ;)
