Strange Symbol

I have a character that just achieved the Very light rank on the alignment chart, now this strange symbol appears on my character screen its a white symbol and its located right across from my alignment bar, anyone know what it does or what it should mean?

It means that you have light/dark side mastery.

No, not that I know, but there is a cap on character level. Your character can not progress beyond level 20.

I think there are caps on many values. For example skills, as far as I remember you could only put a certain amount of points into certain skills at level ups (NOT the total amount of skill points you are given). Attributes also have caps but they are not values you could realisticly achieve within 20 levels.
