I wish we had some good curry places here in the SouthWest.... :( I could align my chakras or something...
I suppose it is likely population based, Vancouver has a very large East Indian population.
However, it is hard to find really good SouthWest food here, so I guess that is consolation ;)

Do practitioners of the Hindu faith actually FOLLOW this kind of stuff?
I sincerely wish we could re-consider this plan from a perspective that involved pants.
Do practitioners of the Hindu faith actually FOLLOW this kind of stuff?
It's not one faith, but a polytheistic "religion" that embraces hundreds of worship patterns for millions of worshippers. Some are more into it for the traditions, or the folk elements. Others follow more esoteric practices, some of which involve adjusting the body in such a way that it is correctly aligned with the elements. In this sense, the material DW linked to is not unlike Chinese medicine, where the necessity of bringing the human body into harmony with the universe is an important goal.

There's a lot more to it than what's up there, too. Can't say I've ever been into it, though I recognize energy patterns and can direct their flow--something which has caught up bigtime in US hospitals as Therapeutic Touch, and is now a recognized treatment for pain.

Guess I've upheld my New Age credentials, now. :rolleyes: :D ;)

Ever heard the sound of one hand clapping? :D

@DW: I noticed our Ayurvedic results were virtually identical as well. And actually, I can't stand curry. ;)

You missed the part where I made fun of the New Age, earlier on. I had to do this, or suffer enough bad karma and come back as an economist. Image

I'm fairly even vata and pita.
On many of the test questions there was no correct answer for me, so I just had to pick the closest one (which was sometimes not very close at all, and sometimes one answer wasn't more accurate than another). I wonder if that was the case for most people. I guess they can only offer so many answers for such a test without making it really extensive though.

Same thing happened to me. What is interesting though, is that the test I did years ago, actually in a book, was in fact far more comprehensive and varied in its questions. This allowed for many more shades of grey. Yet, my results were still the same even so.

Is the first question a trick? :confused: :p
Vata = 19

Am I the only Kapha-dominate person here? I seem to often score differently from most other SYMians on these sorts of tests.... I wonder why? :rolleyes:

I don't know why exactly, but I feel that the lovely ladies of SYM should take note of how well-lubricated I am! :D
