When I first went into the arena the merchant had a purple aura, so I couldn't interact and trade.
I didn't bother going back during rounds, so I don't know if it would have worked then.
I couldn't find anyone else to trade with in the area, except the guy with names outside.
Is this normal?

this happened to me once, i just waited by him and eventually he went in his shop thingy and became green... wouldn't it be funny if people turned green when you buy stuff in real life?? man that would rule!!
