Which one of yor battles have most action?

Post by fallout »

I am in chapter2 and mine is agains druids in druid grove. When the fight begin they cast a area effect spell which stuns party.
After keldorns dispels close compat start and thunders begin to hit part. After that swarm of insects silence mages. Thanks again to keldorn dispel it. Fight go on like this with a lot of chaos at screen.

I dont count the figth in guarded comp. because i use death fog to their mages. But its fun to make run Jan to disarm traps before fight of swords begins.

Well, one fight i remember that was really loaded with action is the encounter with that githyanki group after returning to Athlatka from the Underdark. Man, this was a mess...

There's also another one... 4 Beholders and 4 Gauths "cause-serious-wound"ing themselves to death in the Beholder dungeon... now that's what I call action :-)

Classic one in the windspear hills dungeon. Lured a room full of vamps (6 or 7) out into a corridor with a door and what I discoverd were bars on either side (so you could shoot through...). Fighter at the door with negative plane protection took all the hits whilst everyone else slashed through the bars with 2-handed swords and magic arrows. Vamps climbing the walls to get at me! Cut them all down. Lovely.

I have mentioned this one before but it is still funny...

I was in the beholder dungeoun and as i turned a corner i was privied to a fight between Guaths and mind Flayers, as i was intoxicated on a cocktail containing healthy bouts of whisky i decided to attack, all of my team was stunned, yet the guaths and Flayers just continued to attack each other, not caring whati was doing Image

Te fight lasted about 15-20 minutes 'till they started to run out of spells, i eventually got back control of my people and killed them all Image
I'd have to get drunk every night and talk about virility...And those Pink elephants I'd see.

for me, cloak of mirroring has made all fights with beholders / gauths fun

most exciting ?? ....

for me must be windspear at that greater wolfwere

first time i fought him, took me abt 45 minutes to kill him

didnt realise they regenerated until after 10 minutes, then took forever to kill it

eventually killed with with bless haste chant and many many pets

i guess not to forget lots of luck as well

strangely the next few that i killed went down even without the need to cast defensive spells Image

As for the fight in the Beholder dungeon:

I too arrived to find them attacking each other (with a couple of my fire elementals that were blindly scouting in the mix). I thought that this was maybe a bug in the programming because of the way they ignored me. Either that, or some of their area effect spells set them against each other. Either way, I sent my dual-wielding spell-doped Barbarian in to get some of the experience (I wasn't going to let them steal THAT from me).

One of the fights I remember was in the planar Sphere against the Halflings, and they also had a mage, and at a time I could´t control any of my NPC´s, but I won :-)

Geez. I got Drizzt as easy as pie.
The toughest fights would have to be Guarded Compound and that party in the sewers. I also had difficulties with Mind Flayers, but then I found out that I had a Ring of Free Action in my Bag of Holding. Me and Keldorn (has Free Action thanks to his armor), both hasted by Boots of Speed, totally beat them Illithid to goo.

It really depends on how experienced you are I mean after the underdark everything is quite easy even twisted ruunes and kangaxx. But I would have to say the hardest was going to the twisted rune with lvl 10 characters Image with my main as a mage.
Got smashed. Image

I'd have to say the second Bodhi's Lair rumble...
My half dozen badasses...
plus Drizzt and his posse..
plus a couple of Shadow thieves for good measure...
and a number of named vampires and some grimwarders to boot...
Not a hard battler per se, but you're not gonna find more heavy hitters in one place...
