Trademeet

Can someone help with some info. I am new to BG2 and when trying to go back into Trademeet I am immediately attacked by the town guard.WTF? Am I to never set foot in that town again or what? Thx in advance,

I completed the Druid grove and the Genie quest, It was when I wanted to go back to tell everyone I had done them for them the town guards just attack me?

You must have done something else to annoy them, assuming they are the town guards, and not a private militia.

Idont remember fighting any of them to tick them off. Is there any spell to make them stop or do I need to start my game over as I save to only 1 save slot as I complete an area.
