Maybe not. I've been through most of the posts here and at the Black Isle forums. Tried every posted suggestion and a few I came up with on my own. No luck.
No Fake Mandrake.
I believe there is a problem with the script breaking. Seems some people over at Black Isle are starting to think the same.

I don't know if this will work but the item code for the modified mandrake root is either 61HFGNMM or 61GENMM. Just bring them in VIA the CLUA console. If you are playing in HOF mode use the first code, normal mode use the second. I have no idea if the wrong one would work.

I'm having the same problem with the fake Mandrake root not appearing...
Could someone give me an idea of how to use the code?
I don't know what to do with it... clueless, i know... :)

Until I get the root, I'm stuck.

Thanks!

Sure no problem.
First you need to enable the cheat codes.

Go into your IWD2 folder which should be in Program files/Blackisle folder.
Double click on the 'Config' program.
Click on the 'Game' tab and you should see an option box for "Enable Cheat Console". Make sure that is checked.
Start up your game and travel to the wyvern cave(where fake mandrake is supposed to be)
Now hit "Control" and "Tab" at same time. Someone please correct me if this is wrong, I could be.
This should open up a very small 'dialog looking' box at the bottom of the screen.
Was told to make sure only one of my characters was selected at this point. I picked party leader.
In chat box type
ctrlaltdelete:createitem("GENMM",1)

Thankyou!

It worked perfectly.
Now I can continue playing the game and avoiding schoolwork.

Thank goodness.

I couldn't seem to get this to work at all. I typed it in exactly, but it tells me it doesn't exist.

Any suggestions?

I had the same problem with the Mandrake root not appearing and I walked round and round for ages! then reloaded still nothing and I also did the whole of Dragons Eye again.

What I did in the end was use Dalekeeper 2 and added the root to my inventory! if i'd discovered it beforehand it would've saved a lot of time and energy! There is a link at the top of this forum which you can download it from.
